Howard is an expert bodyworker who has helped me tremendously on several fronts. Having underwent bilateral prophylactic mastectomies three years ago, I suffered a lot of tightness and restrictions in the soft tissues in my chest, neck, shoulders and upper back that has led to chronic discomfort, restricted breathing, and difficulty maintaining good and upright posture. Howard was able to identify and then target the areas that were limiting my movement, freeing me from the chronic discomfort I had been experiencing for three years. The bodywork I received from Howard enabled a relaxed and upright posture and facilitated a feeling of freedom in the body that I haven't felt since my surgery. He has also helped with longstanding low back and hip issues that previously were not responding to various modalities I had tried. After having a series of treatments with Howard to address those issues I am now able to engage in a simple strengthening and therapeutic exercise regime effectively, without strain or discomfort. Howard's knowledge of Anatomy is impressive and informs his work to yield effective and sustained results. His approach is both comprehensive and intuitive, as well as holistic - taking the whole system into account. I've experienced a lot of bodywork in my life, as well as practice bodywork in my profession as a physical therapist, and I can say without hesitation, Howard is both a gifted and studied therapist, with great healing capabilities.
